Westar Trucks Derrimut is seeking a highly organised and detail-focused Heavy Vehicle Stock Controller to join our growing team. Working closely with our Heavy Vehicle Sales team, you will coordinate vehicle inventory, registrations, truck body builds, supplier relationships, and delivery processes to ensure every truck reaches our customers accurately and on time.

Job Description

About the Role
Reporting to the Heavy Sales Manager, you will manage and coordinate truck inventory accurately, from ordering through to customer delivery.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring stock movements and maintaining accurate inventory records
  • Conducting stock audits and reconciling inventory discrepancies
  • Processing vehicle transactions and settlement documentation
  • Managing VicRoads registrations and compliance requirements
  • Coordinating truck body builds with external suppliers and internal departments
  • Tracking vehicle movements, delivery schedules, and build progress
  • Raising and processing purchase orders and repair orders
  • Liaising closely with sales teams to support the pre-delivery process
  • Auditing sales deal packs to ensure documentation is complete and compliant
  • Maintaining strong relationships with OEMs, body builders, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
  • Providing regular updates on vehicle status, registrations, and deliveries

Desired Skills and Experience

About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Previous experience in Stock Control, Inventory Management, Vehicle Administration, or dealership operations
  • Experience within a truck, automotive, transport, or heavy vehicle dealership (ideal, but not essential)
  • Knowledge of truck body builds, vehicle fit-outs, and delivery processes (ideal, but not essential)
  • Candidates with similar experience in Capital Equipment Industries (Construction, Mining, Agricultural, Power Generation, Diesel Engine and Transport Equipment) are encouraged to apply 
  • Understanding of VicRoads registration requirements and compliance obligations
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience working with vehicle registrations and regulatory requirements
  • Sound computer skills, including dealership systems and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • A current Victorian Driver's Licence
