Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and driven Sales Manager to lead our dynamic sales team. This role will oversee new-vehicle sales, aftercare, sales administration, and manage both retail and fleet sales, ensuring our team delivers exceptional service and meets sales targets. The ideal candidate will have a passion and experience in the industry, outstanding leadership skills, and a proven track record in sales management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective sales plans to meet revenue targets, gross profit (GP), and foster business growth.
  • Build and maintain robust relationships with customers, including fleet operators, businesses, and government agencies.
  • Identify new sales opportunities and grow the customer base through proactive networking and lead generation.
  • Provide guidance and support to the sales team, ensuring they have the necessary tools and training to succeed.
  • Monitor sales performance, analyse market trends, and identify areas for improvement or adjustments in sales strategies.
  • Partner with the Finance and Insurance Team, leveraging their expertise and support to close deals effectively.
  • Collaborate with the stock coordination team, overseeing stock availability, deliveries, and end-of-month processes.
  • Work with customer care to improve the customer experience, maximising sales opportunities, delivering 5-star service and boosting retention.
  • Develop and execute impactful promotional campaigns and initiatives in partnership with the marketing team.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Toyota Australia to ensure alignment and support for dealership objectives.
  • Collaborate with marketing to utilise the PMA (Primary Market Area) for targeted promotions and outreach.
  • Work with service, parts, and pre-delivery teams to ensure seamless operations, prioritising customer satisfaction.

  • Extensive sales management in a dealership environment, leading a high-volume active department.
  • Eager to be at the forefront and lead by example
  • Understand the key performance indicators, including end-of-month procedures and analysing top and bottom-line performance. 
  • Sales savvy - dedicated to shifting the perspective to focus on the best customer experiences. 
  • Able to lead by understanding your team and driving peak performance.
  • Ability to establish robust relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with CRM software, ideally Tune and Pentana, along with other sales tools to effectively manage leads, contacts, and sales pipelines.
  • A proactive strategy for developing new business
  • Bring personality, fun, and a creative flair to achieve success.
  • Toyota Experience will be highly desirable.
